Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so I wanted to share this recipe with you. Love Potion is a hot spiced beverage that’s perfect for Valentine’s Day. For all of us in the northern states, February is the time for all the warmth we can get! This recipe is just what you need to heat up Valentine’s Day.
Love Potion has Red Hots as one of the ingredients. Due to shortages, I couldn’t find them, so I used Jolly Rancher Cinnamon Candies instead. I’m sure any cinnamon flavored hard candy will work. If you really have a hard time finding them, try Dollar Tree first. They often have them in the boxes for $1 each. If not, you can order them from Walmart here.
Easy Prep, Big Impact
I love this recipe because it goes together super fast, so you have plenty of time to prep the rest of your meal. My family loved it. It’s also great for a larger gathering, because it makes about 3/4 of a regular size crock pot full. I just refrigerated any leftovers, then re-heat them in a pot on the stove or in the microwave.

Even if you’re going out for Valentine’s Day, this is a good recipe to have warming in the crock pot when you get home. You can enjoy it on its own, or pair it with an appetizer. Serve it in front of the fireplace if you have one. If not, you may love a tabletop fireplace. Click here to find the one I have in the picture below. It comes with roasting forks a spreader, appetizer forks and a small charcuterie board. I love mine!
I hope you have a fantastic Valentine’s Day, whether you are celebrating Galentine’s Day, Single’s Awareness Day or a traditional holiday with your love. It’s always a special kind of feeling to tell your friends and family how much you love them. If you make this Love Potion, drop me an email or leave a comment below and let me know what you think!
